Directions

From Brisbane

Drive along Ipswich Road, past the Toowoomba turn-off and take the Warwick turn-off and Ipswich bypass. Just before the end of the bypass take the Boonah turn-off. Stay on Boonah road through Peak Crossing and on to Boonah.

From Gold Coast

Drive to Nerang following signs to Canungra and then onto Beaudesert and finally on to Boonah.

Turn left into Boonah at the roundabout, up past Flavours Café on your left. Follow this road out past the Police Station on the right and down the hill passing the Dugandan Hotel on your right. You are now travelling along the Boonah-Rathdowney Road. Approximately 14 kms down the track you see a signpost “Carney’s Creek and The Head” [If you get to Maroon Dam, you missed the turn-off].

Drive along Carney’s Creek Road for 22.78 kms, passing Carney’s Creek district sign, crossing the Teviot Brook and passing the Head Road on your right. Continue up the hill onto the gravel road passing an old hut on your right and crossing Carney’s Creek. About half a km further along there is a turn-off to the right signposted Chalk Road — no through road — Go past Fletcher Road on the left, go a further approx 1km then the house is on the right.
